The Meaning Behind the Name:
Dr. Li Wenliang
Li Wenliang was a Chinese ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital who, in December 2019, warned his colleagues about a possible outbreak of an illness that resembled severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), which was later acknowledged as COVID-19. On January 3, 2020, Wuhan police summoned and admonished him for "making false comments on the Internet.” Li returned to work, contracted the COVID-19 virus from an infected patient, and died from the virus on February 7, 2020.
We wish to honor the memory of Dr. Wenliang for his efforts to help prevent the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hi! My name is James Nielsen and I am also a junior at Stevenson School. Finding the right balance of conviction, construction, and thought is the key to my education – I try to live each day to get to know myself better. I love playing sports, Football is by far my favorite and training takes up a lot of my time. I thank God that all of my grandparents are alive, and want to help my community for them, because I know they are struggling through this.
